Takealot apparently have a strike affecting some of their KZN depots, resulting in parcels not being dispatched. I had a package due to arrive on Friday, got an SMS on Friday evening to inform me of the strike and to expect another message in 24 hours. Well guess what, I’m still waiting. When asked if I could go and collect the package the answer was simply “no”. And then when asked if the delivery could be re directed due to the delay, the answer was also a flat “no”.
Has anyone else experienced such inflexibility in their service? Surely when something like a strike affects your business, you have a back up plan?
