Takealot under siege

I still prefer Takealot. My wife ordered a book from Amazon. It was the wrong product due to a wrong description.
Now we have to take the package to the Post Office and snail mail it back to them.
/blegh spits
With Takealot, we use the collect option. Simply log online and hand it in. Done.
If Amazon has an option to do it this way, I am all ears.

Amazon.co.za or Amazon.com?

I'm pretty sure the local one doesn't require you going to the Post Office...the international option is an entirely different thing and shouldn't be compared to Takealot...and even then you get a courier to collect and they refund you no post office required.

Rubbish is mixed with quality merchandise
The comments left by buyers can sometimes be helpful
I always rate the goods I buy, both good ones and crap
At least the returns works - always choose "credit my account" and there have not been any problems

Takealot has past it's prime. We all got to experience how good they once were but now that they are established the greed is kicking in:

  • Good deals are now few and far between.
  • Fake goods. I have seen Chinatown Bluey toys being advertised as authentic.
  • Items with incorrect descriptions (see this all the time)
  • Grey items with dodgy warranty
  • Their returns now likes to reject valid returns
  • Same day collect is now behind a paywall
Fusk them really.
The glory days of Take2.

My first experience ordering online.
