That's new

(Post not voucher related)

Interesting. I bought R1000 Vodacom airtime from TL yesterday using a CCard and the voucher came through immediately.

This morning I bought R835 airtime made up of Voda, MTN and Cell C for my staff. Codes never came through. When I called them, they now need a copy of my ID as fraud prevention.

I have sent the copy to them and will see what happens. The account I am using is many years old and has R50-R100k of purchases over the years...

Did you use a voucher? That's the only time they enquire about air time purchases

Just received my prepaid vouchers after sending them my ID scan. One can only assume they have been experiencing fraud attempts with big airtime purchases....

Takealot isn't very good at return customers. I think they've given up with those vouchers and are rather making pennies from new ones.

They're not, probably. They use the new accounts created by old users as data for further investment.

That's the theory I've seen floated anyway, and it makes the most sense.
