Du Toit, who was on her way to the Egoli recording studio on Thursday morning, had stopped to draw money when the two women, presumably sex workers who operate in the area, started swearing at her and hitting her with their handbags.

Egoli publicist, Gizela Arndt, said the women stormed at Du Toit with their handbags, shouting obscenities.

Nobody knows what sparked the attack, or if they intended to rob her.

It's also not clear if the dastardly deeds of her soapie character had anything to do with the attack.

Arndt said Du Toit

bwana: either he's talking about drug use, or too much sex. Either way, the spelling is atrocious.

ummm they where sex workers correct?

what spelling is wrong dick?

o i thought it blocked that word lol

Soapies are the worst form of entertainment. 30 words in 30 minutes and 1500 facial expressions. It doesn't matter if you skip 6 months because they'll still be standing in the same room, having the same conversation about nothing. :)

So true :D

What amazes me is that people who otherwise have the attention span of a mayfly can watch these things?

Because things happen so sloooowly :D

They can only pay attention for about 5 minutes per episode and still not miss a thing;)
