I bought it yesterday hoping it would be worth using.

Is it worth it for me to play with?
How well does it work with the article jumping thing mybroadband does nowdays?

I played with the free version years back but only briefly as just using a browser ended up looking easier and then last night on impulse decided to get the full version.

Any tips/tricks etc?

I use the free version, works 100%.

So far if mybroadband does an article I can not always reply to it, it does not keep me logged into forums and I seem to miss some articles.

Works well for me.
It keeps me logged in at all the forums I use.
I do have problems linking to articles on MyBB that are posted in the VB news section, but I can read the posts, it it is only the links that are an issue.
I'm not aware of any posts I'm missing.

I've used it for a couple of years now and still love it. Easily my most used app.

I love it when it works but logging me out of forums is irritating. Possibly doing this because I just used my Facebook account to sign in.

Why not just use your phones browser though?

I see no point in an app like this.

Notifications, faster browsing, forum standardisation are my three main reasons.

Tapatalk is far better than any browser app. The browser needs a mouse to browse efficiently.

Constant zooming and pinching.

Sometimes I actually prefer using tapatalk than browsing (on my pc). The interface works really well, quick access to subscribed threads, participated threads, unread threads etc. The navigation and ease of use is just not comparable to a clunky browser:

It's nice having buttons and navigation at a scale that's more relevant on a phone. It also makes much more sense that the forum feels more like an app - purpose built for a smaller screen. With a forum I'm clicking around a lot, so the app-like nature of tapatalk makes so much more sense than a browser. It loads much quicker than it does on a browser too (I've tried Opera, FF, android browser). I've said 'much' too much now :).

Only real downside is having to manually enter bbcode.

All the above but also nice to get notifications on subscribed/participated threads.

Agree with fanie. I stopped using my paid versions due to endless crashes. The free version works a treat. I've used Tapa going on 3 years now and if it wasn't for this channel, I'd have been off forums 3 years ago.

My only issue is image uploads. Some forums allow full size, others only thumbnails; thing is, it's a Tapa issue and not a forum one, not sure why I'm having a different experience across forums.

I have had zero crashes, I just want it to stop logging me out of forums and keep notifications going.

LOL - I don't have your particular problems. Seems experiences vary quite a bit.

Maybe it is a forum function?
Have you tried to tick the "Remember me" option on a pc?
Obviously you need to be subscribed to a thread to receive notifications.

It notifies me when someone replies to participated threads as well.
No "remember me" option in here, I also think it is pulling my usernames and passwords from Chrome as I have as yet not inserted a single one (it just gives me a button to press, "Sign in as Astroturf"

Found a button hidden in plain sight that let's me log on in the old fashioned way. Now to see if that improves matters.

I gave up on Tapatalk due to number of bugs. The most buggy app on iPhone I have ever seen. Still on the phone for notifications, nothing else. If you want fast browsing use styleid=35 on Safari (not Chrome), make bookmark:
