The Tata Punch facelift has received a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. The compact SUV scores 30.58/32 points for adult occupant protection and 45/49 points for child occupant protection.
The Punch secured 14.71/16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. It offered good protection to the head, neck, and upper legs. Protection for the driver’s chest and lower legs was rated as adequate. Chest protection for the passenger was rated as good.
The Punch scored 15.87/16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test. The compact SUV offered good protection to the head and lower body of the occupant, while chest protection was adequate. It offered good protection overall in the side pole impact test.
Dynamic tests were conducted with the use of child restraint systems. The Punch received a dynamic score of 24/24 and a CRS installation score of 12/12. The vehicle assessment score was 9/13.
The test vehicle was equipped with dual front airbags, head, chest, and pelvis airbags, ISOFIX, a seat belt reminder, and ESC.
