tax return 2011

How long does one generally wait to be refunded? I filed mine last week Thursday, I got a notice of assessment the next day, but I still haven't received anything thus far. In previous years, I used to get it 2/3 days later.
 
sigh, I just have my IRP5.... I need a tax number, etc.

no idea where to start. :cry:
 
SARS sent me a letter on 5th June saying they rejected my banking details but I see they deposited the money into my account last Wednesday (27th June) :confused:
 
Done and dusted! Did mine last week Wednesday and received my refund by Saturday! :D
 
Help needed with Travel Allowance and additional assesment

Hi guys

I have submitted my tax returnn on e-filing and entered all my relevent info and my travel allowance deduction details, however I selected YES to using a logbook and Sars send me an email requesting supporting documents.

I have submitted all of the documents including IRP5 and medical tax certificates except the logbook.
I received an Additional assesment and the additional assesment did't include my travel claim against allowance and nowI end up actually owning Sars a big amount of money!

I cant upoad the logbook anymore because it says I have already been assesed nor can I ask for a correction in completing the ITR12 form to unclick the "use of logbook" checkbox......

What should I do any advice??

If you selected having a logbook, you have to supply them with one, or else the travel claims will not be allowed. You can compile a logbook in Excel format or use SARS template from their website. Select "correction" and resubmit the return with your logbook as supporting document.

Hi thanks, byt I can't submit a logbook it says on efiling that I already received assesment and I would have to make a "dispute" any experience with that??
 
click on "dispute" and lodge and objection. alternatively go into your nearest SARS branch.

I normally get only a couple grand back, only difference is this year we are on medical aid and I claimed < 8000km for 2 vehicles (I upgraded mid year). Will this make such a big difference?

dumbish question I guess...I've also received an "assessment has been concluded" if the amount is -RXXXX is it a positive amount? ( -) = minus?

anything with a - in front of it is a credit. so that means you are due a refund.
