taxis for 2010

i want to see the headlines, when a taxi bus rolls and kills all the tourists inside... probaly be blamed on guess what...

the next post that has the correct answer wins a ticket for a free ride in a taxi

These new big ass taxis are going to cause bigger problems. The drivers of these things think they can do what they want, and just push in at will, at least with the smaller things one could block them to an extent.
 
maybe there is an oppertunity for some entrepeuner...

start a decent clean taxi service

but because a white person is driving the project, it would be considered as a racial attack on taxis, thus encouraging more taxi violence

This cannot be a bad thing :) This is the kind of development that I was hoping for before 2010. Let's just hope they actually get round to doing it!

Unless they're doing something about the drivers along with upgrading the actual taxis it wont make a difference. The current taxi vehicles were once new and roadworthy aswell...

Actually I know someone whose brother owned a taxi (he's white). There were no problems though.
 
Uh, many white ppl own taxis, believe it or not. Just not those ones that are falling apart, hooting at the birds, and cutting infront of you. I take them quite often
 
Agreed Inertia but what about the smaller towns where the games will be like Orkney and those towns in Limpopo do that have the same standard of taxi's as jhb and cpt ?
 
how many people can fit into a taxi? (the new ones...) i'm guessing maybe 20-30...at a stadium that can seat 80k people, and with around 40% having their own transport (feet...god gave them to you, so use them) we are talking 1600 taxis to offload the 48000 fans, and another 1600 taxis to load them up and take them home.

methinks this is starting to sound a bit like a fairy tale. end to end the taxis would stretch for almost 7km's (4 metres a taxi, plus some fudge-factor space between each one)....

i think it is possible, the same way you can bring up a child without a father...possible, but NOT a good idea.

anyone else got some maths we can use to work this out?
 
In the UK I used a lot of unlicensed taxi's when we went out for a late jol and these guys made a killing over there, I think I just might try my luck by doing it here. I wonder what I can charge from Jan Smuts/JoBurg Int/Ollie Tambo to a hotel and from a hotel to a soccer game?

Yeah, it's a common misconception by many white ppl that all taxi drivers are black (doesn't matter what colour they are, they all drive ****e), all criminals are black, all gangsters are coloured, etc.... Just like it's a common misconception by many black ppl think that all rich ppl are white, everything should be for free and everything that's wrong with this country is because of Apartheid, etc.


Where will it all end?:confused:
