TaxTim

Played around on it but never used their actual services. Unless you have a complicated tax situation then I don't see the point. You don't really need to understand much to fill out tax returns anymore.

you make a good point, I did mine last year and it wasn't difficult at all, however it was very basic at the time. Now I will be needing to add RA contributions, medical aid (hospital plan) contributions and income protection contributions and was just concerned that I wouldn't get my maximum return

And I am speaking from personal experience as well.

Tango: I'm looking for someone who can do my taxes - with multiple properties it has become rather complicated. Do you perhaps have Celine's contact details that you can inbox me? Do you think she will be able to look at the more complex setups and make recommendation on future tax strategies?

I am sure she will be able to say if she can help you. She is a member of this forum. ( do a search for her forum name ) She helped me out when I was 'screwed" by Tax Relax. And she did work for SARS as well.

She comes recommended!! In actual fact, she is still doing my taxes!!

I only used them to calculate my tax n ish on a job offer :p

All of those items listed does not make it difficult just need to know where to include the amounts, you could probably make a post during filing season or just post in the tax thread asking people here who would be able to guide you.

he makes a very good point :D

All those things listed have a spot at the bottom of the tax return form.

Still very straight forward! Don't pay someone to do that. Just read each field and you will be fine

On the 1st July log in and use there online help call.

I did it last year for all my stuff. They were actually very helpful and you fill it in while they on the line to guide you.

You talking about the "Help you efile"? if so cool - I'll give it a shot if I run into any issues

I use Tax Tim every year, but that's because my tax situation is fairly complicated. Their wizard/questionnaire format of gathering the necessary info makes things very easy.

Works well and for R200 its worth it in my opinion.
