Teacher held for Cash Heist

A high school teacher has been arrested in connection with a Bishop Lavis cash van heist he and six others allegedly committed during school hours earlier this week.

At 11.45am on Tuesday, members of the organised crime unit, supported by the police in Delft, arrested the 47-year-old teacher while he was sitting with a second suspect, a 40-year-old unemployed man, in his car in front of a supermarket in Delft south. At the time of his arrest, he was also supposed to be teaching.
