Team FPS game

Hi guys,

Me and a bunch of friends (around 6 or 7 of us) are looking for a fun, strategic and competative TEAM FPS game.

I come from a CS 1.6 background (havent played it for a few years though) and remember the epic clan battles every evening. I had a blast, I am unsure of why I stopped playing it...probably because of Source which came out and killed the community, but 1.6 might have picked up again?

Is CS 1.6 still the way to go (is the community still very active) or should we be looking at other games?

A cool online MMORPFPS/TPS is coming out pretty soon but is in beta right now. Firefall.

Team Fortress type team dynamics with questing and LOOT and its all shooty with pvp and goodness.

This game has me all giddy.

i was gonna ask the exact same question as OP.

What game is currently competetive except for BF3?
CS Source is that going? 1.6?

L4D2 is pretty dead. Is cod on the up or down with regards to competetive play?

Why is there still people without BF3? Just get it and never look back. It is really difficult in the beginning, but once you get used to it, its brilliant. It takes skill to get kills etc. Its NOT run and gun. Check out some battlefield3 videos on Youtube.. Get excited and buy it. NOW!!!!

I've got BF3, played it for long, I am very good haha.
but i dont have DSL atm so its on the back seat , will only be getting DSL in october again.
