Technology-shy

Fire all the telkom top brass and put a proper businessman in charge that knows how to run a company, those AH`S know s#t

For once I agree 1000% - been saying this all along...

This article states the obvious, things that most members in this forum have been saying over and over again.

However, I must say that it is very well written. If only most journalists could write pieces like these more often and not the usual junk (eg: Telkom SLASHES telecoms costs)that we see. Maybe then the DoC will start feeling some heat to push telecoms costs down in this country.

The problem is not Telkom, as much as we love to hate them, and their Top Brass are doing what any good business people would do, make loads of money.

Its our absolutely useless DoC and the Government in general that are not impartial in this issue. Strange how they fail to understand that until they divorce themselves totally, of any direct financial gain through Telkom profits, we will NEVER have any progress, ever.
It will be blood from a stone indefinately. Telkom whining through Lulu or Stevie about shareholders and costs, yawn, and the governemnt and DoC just dragging its heals forever. 3years overdue for the SNO, strewth, dont these people have performance reviews or what!
We have all these wonderfully educated people in positions of power that CAN make a difference and they know exactly what needs to be done, they just are not doing it because they will loose to much by making the changes.

Yay, Telkom rules the DoC and Government through the pocket money they dish out, never forget that. Bloody great :(

*chuckle* Yup - mutual pain and a common objective makes for strange bed-fellows, doesn't it?!
