Ted Lasso

Kinda looking forward to this. I am normally game for Jason Sudeikis shows/films.

PS: the all-uppercase of the thread title is bothering me.

My bad! I copy the name from the trailer. I did notice it was all all-uppercase, shame on me!

Watched 3 episodes out of the 3 currently out.

Hmm need more time to form an opinion but it's got some heart/feel-good factor. Nothing remotely groundbreaking but there is some potential.

‘Ted Lasso’ has been renewed for a second season at Apple TV+

Ted Lasso starring Jason Sudeikis premiered on Apple TV+ on August 14, and it hasn’t even reached the end of its first season just yet, but now we can expect a second.

Variety has the report on Wednesday, saying that Apple and Apple TV+ have renewed the comedy series for a second season on the streaming service. Apple TV+ debuted the first three episodes of the first season of Ted Lasso on August 14, with the fourth episode set to debut on the service this Friday, August 21. There are 10 episodes in total in the first season.

The second season doesn’t have a specific debut date just yet, obviously, but the report says it will premiere sometime in 2021. The second season, just like the first, will consist of 10 episodes in total.

Apple TV+ renews record-setting comedy ‘Ted Lasso’ for a third season

The hit Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso was officially renewed for season two back in August, and now Apple has officially given the series an early renewal for a third season. Deadline also has new statistics on the popularity of Ted Lasso on Apple TV+.

Ted Lasso, which comes from Bill Lawrence and Jason Sudeikis, has been a major hit for Apple TV+. Deadline reports that the show is Apple’s number one comedy in all top 50 countries, and it has drawn 25% new viewers to Apple TV+ since its debut on August 14.

Apple also says that Ted Lasso has grown its viewership by over 600% since it debuted:

It has broken audience records for Apple TV+, ranking as the No. 1 comedy each week, drawing 25% new viewers to the service since its August 14 launch. according to the streamer. The pop culture phenom has grown its viewership more than 600%, fueled by binge watchers, setting new records for completion and engagement worldwide.

‘Ted Lasso’ returns for a second season July 23 on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ teased earlier this year that the critically-acclaimed series Ted Lasso would premiere its second season at some point this year, but didn’t give us an actual date to circle on the calendar. But now that’s changed.

Today, during the company’s Spring Loaded event, Apple revealed that the second season of the series will premiere on Friday, July 23, 2021. At the same time, we also got our first real look at what’s coming for the head coach and friends, as we got a teaser trailer showing new footage.

The second season of the series will have more episodes than the first season, coming in with 12 rather than 10. However, while the show has been renewed for a third season already, the series creator has said that will probably be the last.

Apple TV is a bit weird.

None of their stuff is good, it's kinda weird tbh don't know how to explain it but their "way" or "style" of movies they make is odd and baseless.

Netflix might be woke and falling of a cliff but it's still fantastic production
