Tekken 6 PS3 exclusivity doubtful

I enjoyed DOA (a lot more skill involved in just finishing the game than the usual button mashing that'll get you by in Tekken), but I'd just like to see Tekken (along with MGS4) hit the 360 to stop the PS3 fanboys from citing certain "killer franchises" every time there is an argument over consoles (as we've seen even in discussions about hardware capabilities).

Likewise I'd have no problem with the 360's exclusives finding their way to the PS3.

I'm with you on this one.
Multiplatforming is the way to go and it will shut all fanboys up.

The chics are waaaaaay hotter . . . . . ;)

QFT,

I really enjoyed playing Tekken games (3-current) on ps2 then the ps3, but DOA > Tekken imo :p

Cant wait for Soul Calibre, Yoda sounds fun :D

If you guys think we have fanboys on this forum, go and take a gander at www.n4g.com click on any final fantasy XIII article, go to comments and read some of those comments.

Nah Tekken has limb control, DOA has crappy button system. Most guys just play it for hi-def boobies anyway. Tekken rips DOA to shreds IMO. If we really wanna get technical then go to Virtua Fighter but Tekken is quite balanced.

Tekken and DOA are both really great games but if only Mortal Kombat can come up with something decent...

Then I'd play Mortal Kombat any day over Tekken or DOA.

do you actullay care about FFXIII?

most def!! ff7 was wat got me onto JRPGs and i bought a ps3 just for ffxiii...i no thats a really but reason to buy any console but it just seemed to me at the time that xbox aimed at american gamers who primarily enjoy FPS and sports titles...FPS give me headaches so i opted for my ps3, but I'd be lyin if i said that FFXIII wasnt a huge part of the reason...then xbox churned out its own exclusive JRPGs and now...why square WWWHHHHHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! LOL, oh well, back to work :D

P.S about Tekken 6..personally i think its highly doubtful it'll be exclusive esp with soul calibur not bein.

Ok cool! :D
I was just wondering, every single ps3 droid is running around screaming murder and pain because of the exclusivity being removed.
The fact is that they dont give 2 sh1ts about FF franchise to start with and they are just whining because MS got it.

You have been screwed then pretty badly when considering that PS3 is looking more to FPS and the 360 more to JRPG.
Never too late to sell and get a 360!!! Infinite Undiscovery is coming September!!!! :D

Tales of Vesperia is out in August as well (might be US only for the moment though, but still) And Star Ocean early next year?

I must say I've never been into JRPG's (I hated Blue Dragon) but I'm playing through Eternal Sonata with my wife couch Co-op at it's a really nice relaxing game. We spend more time laughing at the insane dialogue than anything else, but the combat is easy, yet challenging enough.

(Thanks Kage ;) )

In would love to see No Exclusives, so we can see when we directly compare the "X" Box v PS3 and what the real power of the PS3 can bring as soon as the developers start to get to grips with the superior hardware structures, if only to ""to stop the "X" Box .......(what a fitting name and that ugly white tower ) ...... fanboys from citing certain "killer franchises" every time there is an argument over consoles (as we've seen even in discussions about hardware capabilities).""

At least the PS3 fan's can still tout the BluRAy on top of it and not to mention the DTS HD MA 8 channel surround sound capabilities and the Clout of the major Film studios supporting Sony and the BluRay format with superior BluRay HD content and film titles.

lol too true!!

Its true that sony fanbois dnt give beep about the ff franchise. If u really think about it, ff was originally nintendos baby. i was just peeved cos, as u mentioned, xbox is churning out those JRPGs; what kept my sanity was the then fact that atleast ff is a sony exclusive and i didnt feel as bad for diggin as deep into my pockets for the ps3 as i did!! guess i got shot down there huh?

I was thinkin about the elite but i no nothing about xbox since ive neva owned one. then those RROD stories started up and i got a bit apprehensive...but my bdays comin up so i might just spoil myself :D

*Yawn* You've even resorted to mocking the outside appearance of the 360. Grasping at straws again?

I think you'll find the hardware issue has been discussed in full many times. I believe you've seen it and are just ignoring the issue, but go back and read the previous threads and you'll discover that the PS3 is not limited by the knowledge of the developers working on it's games, but rather substandard hardware (performance wise) chosen to accompany the cell processor and the bottlenecking that this causes.

"Superior hardware structures"?...Sorry but the cell processor cannot magically conjure up extra ram or convert itself into another GPU to overcome the PS3's shortcomings.

All of which has nothing/very little to do with gaming. Changing the subject yet again are we?

Ja, the dialogue is hilarious.
I just could not take it anymore though, you did me the favour!

Just report the post as trolling!

The RAM issue is a not as people make it out to be, XDR is better than DDR3. People should realise that they shouldn't read one article and believe it. So I advise people to research advantages of both XDR and DDR3. the PS3 has 256MB XDR and 256MB DDR3 :D
Rambus So the real problem is developers and Sony's poor marketing scheme, XDR is more pricey than DDR3 and we won't be seeing it in Laptops or desktops anytime soon.
Other than that that guy really is a troll for posting things like that. Both are good consoles the one is just being used better than the other.

How long have you been around? They tried to make Rambus a PC standard? Remember why it was reject besides price? If it's so awesome, why don't they use it for the GPU RAM as well?

One word - latency. You can't use XDR for graphics because it's designed exactly like the Cell SPU's, to shunt through large amounts of data quickly, not efficiently. In effect the XDR is unusable for anything to do with realtime rendering.

Unfortunately it might not be superior enough to overcome the fact that a large chunk is taken up by the operating system at any one time.

It basically boils down to the quantity of memory being left over potentially not being enough for the extra speed to make that much of a difference versus a larger quantity of a (relatively speaking) slower speed memory.

Anyway, ram aside I still believe the GPU architecture of the PS3 to be it's Achilles heel :)

has anyone actually found an OBJECTIVE comparison for 360 vs ps3 for Soul Calibur 4?
Play has one posted but since they are Ps3 orientated they might not be as objective as I would like.
