Telephone Installation Charges

I was under the impression that the installation charges for a telephone line would be free if one took a closer package.

I applied for the closer 1 package and received my first bill last week. I notice that I have been charged installation charges. Anybody here knows if I should have been charged or not?

Only for closer 2 and upwards. They should have told you that or you should have asked.

Thanks. I've actually asked them at the shop but most probably did not specify my question well enough. Well just have to pay it.

How much did they charge you for installation?

Remember that they charge an intial deposit of R700 as well. My experience has been that the first few invoices deplete the deposit amount, then you get charged monthly...

I am on Telkom Closer 2 though...

R468.04. They wanted to charge the R700 as well when I applied but then decided that it is not necessary.
