So I received a call from Teljoy today saying I only have two more payments on my Samsung Plasma. after which the tv is mine to keep.

What is the normal lifespan of a plasma ?

100 000 hours, mine also finished this month, you can take and extra plan on it for R55 a month and they will fix it if it breaks.

100,000 hours is 11 years of the tv being turned on.

Mine is used for a few hours every evening so it should be good for another 20 years.

If I take the risk for at least another year I will save over 6 grand.
