Telkom’s ADSL problems continue

It is a taste of things to come alright. Telkom retrenched the wrong people the last time. Managers should have gone and techies should have stayed.

It's just the beginning of Telskums problems.
I hope their investors loose all their money they've put into Telskum.
Mind you, at this point, the profits they made, have covered their investment.

i wonder how much of telkoms infastructure the SNO has to use... this could spell danger for the competition.

This is such bull****. When I called on Sunday to log a call they told me that they were very very busy with calls from users.

They were supposed to call me back, but (surprise) that didn't happen.

How do they see a spike in complaints and then come back with "our network management systems" didn't notice it?

I am on the verge of cancelling ADSL. It won't help to go wireless, since it goes into the same backbone.

Since Friday afternoon after work, I have had nothing but problems. NOTHING was resolved on Sunday, at least not for me.

How the hell does the CEO deserve a R40M/year salary? The infrastructure is ****ed! Support is USELESS! ****! I'm paying a relative fortune to have a reliable connection!

Even this post is pointless. NO-ONE cares, they all just take the money. Our ex-deputy president and our current one lead the way when it comes to corruption.

I AM FURIOUS!

Is there any way that we could leverage the Muslim outrage over the cartoons against Telkom? Does anyone know any underground hackers? I would be very happy to go back to the dark ages until the SNO comes in, if it meant that every damned branch of Telkom was destroyed.

Telkom probably hopes that if they keep on denying that they have problems hard enough or often enough it will go away by itself. Maybe they should wake up and smell the daisies... growing in all the bull they spout..

Their system picked up nothing? Ignorance is indeed bliss...

Kill 'em damned cache servers and violla the problems go away.

I've had to deal with the NNOC many times in the past due to website not working due to the cache.

AFAIK they don't cache local traffic, and yes they use netcache appliance servers, but you need to have enough of these things you can't just dump 30000 users (guestimate) per server and hope that works forever!

D

Thank you for calling Telkom. If you are experiencing any problems, please press 1 to adjust your reality.
