Telkom 1024 upgrade?

Silly woman from telkom just called. She wanted to know if I wouldn't be interested in upgrading from 512 to 1024.:eek:
She caught me by surprise, but I did manage to ask her if she was aware of the new price increases for Nov. She wasn't ... she didn't have any idea... :confused: I asked her if around 700% sounded fair. When I asked her if I could downgrade to 384 she didn't reply.
 
Just say yes to everything they ask you, and then when they sound all excited - ask them if she knows you name, after she says it, say nooo - that's not me - I'm Telk, let me spell it for you, I moved in here 2 months ago; my name is Telk Oms Ucks.

Got one of those calls 2day aswell, Asked about the nov pricing, they didnt know.. Prolly coz they are just the sales person's :P
 
A friend of mine got such a call today aswell, he said he'll take the upgrade and all. Then they said they'll call back withing 48 hours or smthing like that and that he'll have to get a new modem!!!:eek: while his fully supports ADSL up to 8Mbps. Those F***ups seriously try to rip the public off!!!:mad:
 
yep, recently I have seen usb modem sales mentioning "1mbit adsl compatible"

BAHAHA wtf?
 
They also phoned us... But I wasn't here and my mom answered (didn't know what was going on). Still waiting for them to call back :-)

Guess someones gotta tell them how crappy their products are and huch 1mbit actually helps when only a 10gb account is afforable 1nov.
