Telkom 1G when not equal to 1G

My Telkom 1G cap. Am I getting ripped off just a bit, because 1.0021 GB is not as I understand it to be equal to 1 024 MB. Nitpicking but....

I think you're thinking of gibibytes

In most cases when dealing with marketing, 1MB = 1000kB, 1GB = 1000MB. The same goes for hard drives. The only time you can be 100% sure they're using the proper definition is if you see the KiB,MiB & GiB notation.

If you work it out, they are using 1024MB = 1GB.

117.2729 MB/1024 = 0.1145 GB
908.8473 MB/1024 = 0.8875 GB

0.1145 GB + 0.8875 GB = 1.002 GB
