Telkom 1Mbps Uncapped 3 Month Trial

Some of you people are confused! Get your bits and bytes right please, only then are any comparisons valid!

Would you mind uploading the speedtest images if you kept them?

I can't promise anything, but I will try and investigate.

Also, did you have ADSL before? If so, was latency and speed bad within the past 3-6 months?
(AFAIK, some exchanges have their backhauls contended, and if you're on one, the uncapped throttling may not be the problem)

My order was added, but I'm not sure if I'll get it since the credit vetting might not go through. I owe a bit of money to a few places, had a rough year. If I get it, it would be great. Line Rental stays at R139. The offer is valid until 31st January 2012 AFAIK.
 
My first bill has arrived for the free uncapped...it's R567?

I would query that with Telkom accounts. The Rep I spoke with said the first month would be "slightly more", since it's prorata, but that's more than 3 months line rental.
 
yeah does not seem quite right to me. Will take it up with them.

started the trial in November. SO i get a statement from telkom yesterday..

How the .... can this be? Everything was supposed to be free for 3 months even the line rental.. I asked numerous times during the telephone call to apply. AND it supposed to be Uncapped ADVANCED...

been on the phone now for 15 minutes waiting for someone to answer the phone.. anyone know another number to call. I am cancelling and I am not paying for anything else besides my normal Closer 2 bill.
