Hi

I went to a telkom shop and a guy who did not seem to know anything about how the ADSL works told me that for me to have a 1 mbs uncapped line i would have to pay R779. can someone confirm this for me?
because if thats the case id rather take the 4mbs line for mweb at R899

Thank you in advance

+1 agree with above and also Telkom does not shape despite what they say. You can download full speed all day all month :D

This is untrue

Been on the package for last 2 months and haven't had speeds degrade at all. I should mention it is n the promo.

I have used Ti before and speeds have always been stellar. I stand by what I said.

Why would you put your reply before the quote? How are we supposed to know what you're replying to?

Lots of people seem tp do this. Their posts seem nonsensical till the end where the quote is.

Sorry I barely use the multiquote system. Noted for future reference and will edit now.

/OT what has been your experience though AcidRaZor?

I've been on T1 1Mb/s uncapped since November and have yet to be "shaped" or throttled. Am as happy as a pig in schit.

All and all it will cost +-R779/m for 1mbps. (mine averages at R850 with some bolt on options and phone calls)

Do Uncapped Premium (DSL 4 096) = R2 509.12 (excluding phone line rental)

Considering that you will hardly ever get true 4mbps download speeds 1mbps is the better value for money option

Hmm, depends on what you are implying the cause will be, as the 1Mbps uncapped has daytime throttling, where the (current) 4Mbps won't and never will. There was supposed to have been a (much cheaper) 4Mbps uncapped with daytime throttling, but I think some other projects got priority ...
