So in July I moved to the 20Gb+20Gb LTE deal and cancelled my Telkom line. Normal blah blah cancellation effective period etc. So firstly:
1. Line cancellation effective 21 Aug
2. Got a bill in August for 15th Aug-15 Sep line rental ( disputed as line was cancelled and not going to pay extra, paid for any calls up to date of cancellation and told them go fly kite for balance).
3. Got next bill in September - This bill had my disputed credits which effectively paid for the previous months cancellation screwups and left me with a credit balance of R80 odd.
4. So now I called in asking for the transfer of the credit + the initial R700 deposit for a prepaid line that was paid. Told that sorry, you have to wait another entire months billing cycle till Mid-October where the NEXT bill will reflect a credit for the deposit.
5. I then need to apparently log a dispute to have the entire thing paid out, which I'm sure will take another week or so after that.
What a horrible, painful experience. And we are actually stuck with it as you HAVE to have a analogue line if you have ADSL. Even though my ADSL portion was cancelled perfectly by Afrihost, the rental has taken over two months and looking to go on for another two more!
