Telkom 4G Tower Location Inputs For Google Earth

How do I see which is which.. I am connected to cell-id 830a02 or 8587778... but on these points i have enodebid 33546 nothing that even looks like my cell id
 
The tower numbers reflected in the google earth overlay do not correspond with the number of the tower reflected on your modem. Sorry, try and identify a tower closest to you and point in that direction , common sense should prevail that line of sight is the best option.
 
Damn, I know which tower I generally connect to, its when things go weird and I end up connecting to other towers that I have to wonder which one it is
 
Am I doing something wrong? The error I get each time: "The file contains invalid or unsupported data, or the file is too large to parse"
 
It works for everyone else, not sure what could be the problem.
 
This is June 2015, which is not ideal but I suppose it's a start, maybe someone else can upload a more recent overlay.

Thank you very much for this. On the green zones, use the PCI value with your modem. This will tell you the cell you are connected to
 
Anyone got an updated file, i see telkom.co.za/today/unlimited-broadband/ is not showing towers anymore.... :cry:

That list was not as up to date. You might get better results just rotating a directional antenna and checking for stats and cell id changes.
