Telkom - 4Mbps Uncapped Internet R599.00

Yes. I signed up for it last week. Waiting for the upgrade to take place.

I'm on 2Mbps paying about R580 currently.

Don't forget your free router and wifi extender. You are going to be in contract for it after all so... :)
 
I'm still waiting for this to be installed, some exchange fault is holding it up.

I got this recently but my line would drop the connection to the DSLAM intermittently. Tech support can't help as this is still a new line.
 
Got same problem, upgraded from a rock solid 2M line, to a 4M line, latency, gone to hell, ping up and down like a jack rabbit, getting packet loss regularly, which seldom happened on my 2M connection. Then I am only just under 300 meter from DSLAM/MSAN, considering going back to a 2M line, and not bothering to get ShowMax, as it is not worth it with, the line conditions, I currently have. Strangely enough downloads speeds with Internet Download Manager are in the ballpark for a 4M line, but there is a great deal of speed inconsistencies over time

Done that for 2 months. They test during day it is fine, from 6 you have no download. What do you expect of telkom selling you something that does not work.
This test was done only with a cellphone on the line.
Ping: 698ms
Download: 0.01Mbps
Upload: 0Mbps
