Telkom ads

it does say something about "Diamond Sponsor" along the right side. Does that count as an add?
 
I think all IT and telecomms publications should refuse Telkom ads... Surely they won't take much of a financial hit?

Telkom should pay!

It is sort of a refund for the super rates they are charging!

I've seldom heard as much scepticism to any ad than Telkoms.

That new adsl ad (on tv) bugs me (pun not intended - if you have seen it :D ) - it was only on the third time watching it did I notice the "ISP and installation costs not included" at the bottom - the price at the top looked too good to be true - everyone stares at them :)

And their newest ad offends too. They've adjusted their prices in line with iBurst
 
What I don't get about Telkom's ads, they always say they've been providing services for almost a hundred years, last time I checked Telkom as the entity "Telkom" has only been around since 1992.

LOL, maybe they are refering to there waiting period for installing a line LOL :D
 
Well Telkom spends around 80 million on advertising each year.. i think most publications want a piece of that action.

So what the ad says, is that you can get HomeDSL 384 for your business :confused: Phone any operator and they'll tell you different!
 
I stopped at a petrol station in table view yesterday, and they have one of those big tv screens for you to watch while filling up. What should pop up - a teklom ad. Now this is the part that I'm REALLY scared of... it was the 192k ad - the one with the family sitting in front of the fan acting like morons - and what strikes me is the text for "SUPER FAST INTERNET ACCESS" (or something like that.. everything just went red and I couldn't see for a few minutes afterwards :p). Teklom really and truly believe the crap they spew. Anyone who sees 192k as fast should be locked up.

Well - that were you demand that you should be given the service - it was advertised like that (you dropped you dstv line to get adsl - but now thats still not enough money :p ) you should get it - a mistake or two is fine - but so many, na, they must change the offers :mad:
