Does someone know how to set the management port on a Telkom ADSL 5102G? I always gad a Marconi router, and it was possible to set the port to what ever you wanted.
I am also kooking for the suport site where to get the firware from.

Okay let's just clarify, "the management port"? Do you mean the gateway, like the marconi was 10.0.0.2?

NO, the HTTP port 80, I want to make it lets say 8080...

I am hosting a web site, and when you hit my DNS name, it goes to the HTTP port 80 of the 5102G.

Okay the HTTP server port, just saw it in my Marconi router :D Sorry don't know where to change it, does that router have Miscellaneous Configuration?

Nope, that is what is so strange.

The manual is for tipical home users, there no advanced details.

I have can do NAT, but it does not help, as the request for port 80 hits the router, then the router answer the request..

So have to first change the manage port, (The HTTP port you use to connect local to the router)

Where can I get firmware or a decent manual?

Hi Scalci

Mail me your contact details and then i can send you the F/W that you want. Also there is no management port that you can change on the Telkom 5102G.
[email protected]

We can also discuss the problem you are having with the port forwarding aswell.

Did you manage to sort this issue out?

Hi Scalci,

Did u manage to find a solution to ur problem? because i've also got a 5012G router and it's hooked up so that I've got a dynamic IP address, and i don't have a clue how to set up port forwarding so i can download stuff, and host games, etc?

Thanks!

Dont Update Your Firmware

i just updated the firmware and even though all the settings are still intact, i cannot change anything. there are no buttons for settings. anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

did that work?

i was about to upgrade my firmware to 2.0.7.13 but i'm not keen if it's gonna hassle.

i'm also battling to get my wireless working correctly.
on the lan connection, DHCP works perfectly, but on wireless i get some random IP assigned and even if i specify an IP on my wireless adapter, i can then ping the router, but no net access!

damn telkom piece of ****!!!
