Telkom ADSL Capping

*nod*
reason being, there's an ICASA ruling that states Telkom may not terminate a local session - therefor it's left up to the user to dis/reconnect. been like this for years

If that is the case MWEB sure as heck ain't listening ... or Telscum got a backward interpretation/implementation.
On MWEB: You can stay connected 25/8/367 - your initial usage just gets counted towards your cap. Then when you get capped your intl. gets blocked and your usage starts to count toward the 10GB free local.
On Telkom: Your int. connection gets severed and you get thrown onto the localonly allocation. This local only connection will "never" gets cut. I sortof prefer this though... ;-)

we should confront mweb's rep about that. reminds me of back when they tried putting a hardcap on local. they got away with it for almost half a day. :) i'm actually thankful i'm not with them, really feel for those poor victims who find themselves locked into a contract and a crippled router though.
telkom's a devil, but we can rely on it. and they won me over with the discounts. my extra 1 gigger pays for itself. not too sure how one qualifies for the "do broadband discount plan"

edit:/
we jinxed it
they bumped the session, basturds!
