Telkom ADSL caps removed.

Okay this is strange.. I woke up this morning, had my usual cup of coffee and logged into facebook (which is now local). My cap finished earlier this month, so I knew I couldnt check my hotmail account for email, but accidentally I clicked my link on favorites and the page started loading.. :wtf:

All other sites seem to be working too.. very strange. But Im not complaining! :whistle:

So Im taking it, Telkom has finally removed the cap restrictions!
(Im on the 1gb package btw. 384kbps)
 
I’m giving my Mweb uncapped a rest and using my telkom Do3 a go. Telkom is not so bad after all.
 
same for me , when I loaded grabbit I noticed it says new version available , I knew international cap is off. by the way , what do you mean facebook is now local ?

All you have to do is login to facebook using your international account then once logged in, log back in to your local account and you can browse facebook using local only bandwidth :).

OT: Whose taking advantage of this :D uncappedness
 
Don't get too happy. It happens now and then. One month i was able to download more than 80GB International on a All Access 1GB Account. They will cap you again. Just try not to disconnect and it might last a little bit longer. But not more than 3-4days.
 
Yo cavedog, Will you be charged if you go over the local limit from telkom? I got a 10GB local, and it almost finish. Don't wana go over the 10gb incase telkom turn around and charge me. Do you think they will?

Local - yes.
 
and will telkom charge u for if u say download 80gb on a 1gb account of Ur international bandwidth
 
They will charge you the price of local .. i forgot how much that is with them though.
And, of course .. there's nothing anywhere on the telkom.co.za website that indicates how much they're charging per MB of local-only.
 
Actually, right now i would actually prefer local uncapped :D Have run out of international things to download :p Not that into torrents...

Don't go above you local cap, they will charge you for that. That's what they did last time this happened.
For instance if you have 10Gig local left, and you somehow manage to download 30 they will charge
you R300 (15 x 20)
 
True HideInLight. Hey guys, what's going on here. Is any international surfing/downloading that we are doing in fact using up our local cap?
 
i just had to disconnect and reconnect my connection to telkom now because it was dead (edit: local and international traffic). After the reset it's still giving international access even tho i am capped on blended.
