Yes I have a telkom account.
The hard capping may not be happenning everywhere in SA yet but I can guarantee that in Cape Town it is, so whatever you read which says contrary to this, probably will not be valid for long.
At the end of the 3'rd I had used 4 gigs up and 3 gigs down. I can't stand people who insinuate that this is unreasonable usage. If I were hammering the line I should be able to sustain 5 gigs up and 2.5 gigs down per day that would "entitle" me to 22.5 gigs in the first 3 days, so I'm using 31% of my line during that time span. Also note again that this is purely local traffic to run my business infrastructure, not to as some like to infer "download illegal content" on "P2P networks". That being said, what I do with my conenction should be my business and I should not have to justify what I need bandwidth for.
Which is funny because we dont really by bandwidth do we, we buy transfer blocks. On a technical level, Is ADSL marketing allowed to use the term "bandwidth"?
