Telkom ADSL growth continues

This is more embarrassing than anything else. 10 years and they still fall under a million subscribers.
 
Telkom should be pushing for for 100 000 growth per per annum, RSA should have 10% (around 5 mil) of adsl lines

800K Households is about 3 million people, that's half of the tax paying base who can afford a telephone line

We sometimes forget that most people in that 50 mil, are poor and also adsl is a shared service by a family
 
Would also help if they actually ran new lines. I've been living in Wilgeheuwel Roodepoort for 3 years, no lines since I moved in.
 
How do they claim this to be a shining star? Telkom has some of the laziest technicians that it has ever been my misfortune to encounter.
 
Don't forget among 890k ADSL lines lots of them are businesses. Probably the households are even less then 800k. Which is disgrace in a country of 50mil.
 
Would everyone hate me if I said I actually am starting to like Telkom?
I mean, no the prices don't compare to U.S. but I'm very happy with my 10Mb line and think that just over R1k isn't too bad.

Yeah, I've been waiting for a year and a half and they won't install at my complex. We have the infrastructure, Telkom just suck. And this is in Midrand, plenty of businesses all around me with ADSL.
 
The armchair critics don't seem to stop amazing me... No further comments.
