TELKOM ADSL INTERUPTED LINK

The micro filter on my telkom line has to be replaced every two weeks, and thus on receiving or dialling out calls my ADSL line get cut off.Any body with simmiliar problem or is there a better quality filter available.

A filter doesn't need to be replaced that often. I've got mine for more than a year now, without any problems.

What brand router are you using? And what brand of phone are you using?

Maybe lay off the caps lock and people will help. We don't like being shouted at.

Same thing happend to me a few weeks ago. I eventually figured out that our alarm system was the cause, since it used a "telephone call" to communicate with the control centre. I simply added an additional filter, which solved the problem.

If you are replacing the filter every two weeks and the problem is not being resolved, then you are fixing the wrong problem.

I would suspect that there is another analogue device connected to your phone line and that it is not connected through a filter. Look for modems, fax machines, burgler alarms, other phones.
