Telkom ADSL Unshaped

Hi.
My wife works from home and since we are limited (infrastructure) by our 4MBPS ADSL line speed, we are trying to get an unshaped account going.
1) Telkom told her that this option is only available if you have a business account. Can anyone confirm/dispute this?
2) Can you only get a business account if you have a registered business (like they told her)? Does anyone know of other ways to meet the criteria for a Telkom business account?
There are options with MWEB Uncapped, Unshaped for R1800.
 
Whats your monthly usage at the moment? that would help work out your best package
 
Im on the Afrihost Business 4Meg, Uncapped/unshapped R799


Very happy with their service.
 
I think your wife must not confuse Telkom, just tell them you want a 4M unshaped un whatever, don't tell them what you intend to do with it.

tht is correct as far as Telkom goes (IIRC)
What she need in terms of usage - maybe shaped might be the way to go vs cost of unshaped?

thats a shaped acount - Uncapped yes but still shaped

she wants unshaped they don't have unshaped on normal accounts only business -

Usage will be around 100GB. But we need it unSHAPED, since we cannot get above 4mbps (no LTE coverage either).
I will look into the Afrihost package as well. I've heard of an Mweb business account "shaped for business" that sound good - no registered company docs required.
I guess I was hoping that a letter from your employer might pass to get a business account...

what type of usage you need if you have to have full 4Mbps ?
