Telkom ADSL upgrade

I went to a Telkom Direct shop and ordered my upgrade to 4Mbps line. I was told it could take up to 11 hours.

I got home approximately 30 minutes later and the line was up! Woot...
speedtest shows 3.43Mbps (upload).

I had an ADSL self install from order date to installation in 3 days!

It seems all the dead wood at Telkom should stay out on strike and the willing workers can then get the job done quicker and more efficiently.

I suggest you try another speedtest or else you have the fastest upload speed I have seen on a 4 Mbps connection.

unless of course you have AADSL, Anti-Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line

Ping 83ms
