I am now so frustrated!

I have a 10MBPS 100GB Home Premium from Telkom. Great? NOT!!!!!

For over two years I am now still struggling to (yes, you read me correctly) upgrade and give them more business. Completed all documents and waited, waited, waited. After weeks of no response, I repeated the request. No answer. Ask them on FB, get a standard, we will look into it, and then nothing.

I know there is no fiber here, but what about LTE? Promotion after promotion I tried to draw their attention. To absolute NO AVAIL. They are my ISP, and their technical department appears to be ok. Yet, they never supply you with a reference number, and the two I was supplied with at some stage, turned up nothing. Lodged various "disputes" on their site, not a pin dropped.

Now I sent them a complaints form with cancellation. One of their questions is why you wish to cancel and what can they do to change your mind (was it delayed service, bad customer centre, dropped lines) but nowhere do they give the option of NO SERVICE!

I would like to retain my telkomsa.net e-mail address, but are even prepared to sacrifice it should I have to.

Who can I approach for s seamless changeover reputable company that is prepared to talk to me???
 
10mbps seems good enough yes. I can barely get them to keeps my 2mbps line running - right in the middle of neighbours with 10mbps and fibre.

You know what happened yesterday? Two Telkom employees come to my door with a survey for... VDSL. I told them that I'm getting a weapon. (actually because my wife was speaking to them and it seemed surreal)

You should've joined MyBB sooner and then you would have access to their company rep here in the forums that might have been able to assist you better. Anyway you can send a PM to TelkomZA or post in the thread TelkomZA here on MyBB with your problem outlined. :)
 
Well, to be honest, I don't even know!

In person no one from Telkom wants to commit, but on their site they apparently cover LTE and when I did an application for LTE with my current address and account number, there were no "warnings"!

What are your line stats? We could comment if your line would be able to support it (not the backhaul from the exchange though, you'll have to talk to e.g. ranger on this forum).

Well, my download is around 5,2MBPS and upload about 800KBPS?

The line stats, you'd find them on your router page.

To find the router stats, log into your router and find something along the lines of:

Line attenuation (up)	23 dBm
Line attenuation (downstream)	42.1 dB

If you need your router address: open command prompt (hit the windows key and r, type in cmd and hit enter) > ipconfig and hit enter > look for Default Gateway and type that address into your web browser, e.g. 192.168.1.1

(Mines on wireless, it might be under Ethernet adapter Ethernet if you are using a LAN cable.)

Default passwords for router pages are usually admin admin or admin 123456

Running a Netgear and have Netgear Genie installed.

Ok I think I found it, but how do I get a picture on this site? (Sorry, not an IT expert)

Mike, in the toolbar at the top of the post you're writing, click on the image button (it's a square thing with a tree featured on it), then select From Computer , give it a second to load, then hit Choose file, navigate and select the file, then hit upload files. At the bottom left it should uploading file %, once it's done it will feature as an
 
It does not give me the option of "From Computer", just asking for the URL?

I'd suggest you ask for an integrated data SIM instead of a new contract. The SIM works on LTE so you'll be able to use your current 100GB data on both DSL or wireless mediums. :)
