telkom annoucement?

Where is the big announcement from Telkom? I thought that telkom would announce faster line speeds along with increaed usage. I guess I'll be moving to mweb.

Telkom promised nothing that I know of? They normally do their announcements together with their financial results, which is afaik scheduled for 21 June.

21 June is not "before the World Cup":

In November last year Telkom CEO said that he was keen to launch a higher speed ADSL service as quickly as possible, adding that it will happen before the 2010 World Cup. - Article

These upgrades were first announced in 2007.

They were due to be launched in October last year.

That was then delayed to March 2010, then April, then June.

So ja... there have been many dates posted already.

Don't blame the users for expecting Telkom to live up to their promises.
