Telkom at it again!

Ok! so here is the story!
I have been battling with Telkom to downgrade my ADSL line from 10MB to 1MB (saving-cost reasons) and for ages I would call, request it and nothing ever happens - but it's all good and well.
Anyways, I decided to make a mission of it about 1 month, maybe more ago and contacted Telkom.

Apparently it was supposed to be done, it never was done.
I logged a complaint and well, nothing was done.

Then Tuesday, my internet started being really slow - I thought it was MWEB - tonight I decide to sit down and see what this problem really is and low and behold!

Telkom have dropped my line speed... all the way to 384!!!

I want to be :mad: but I am smiling, my mom can't understand why - I can't even understand why - I'm not even upset - I just expected something like this to happen.
 
You're lucky they did not completely disconnect you! It's been known to happen all too often.... :D

I salute your patience (not patients!) as I would have blown a gasket many moons ago.
 
lol. Well at least upgrading back to 1mbps won't cost you.

Just phone the dsl call center number: Chances are the billing is a 1mbps in which case they can up the sync speed it while you're on the phone.

Problem is, when I try call to find out about what was happening with this, I'd always get disconnected - at first I thought it was my home phone but then I did the calling from work, no matter what, I'd always get disconnected while chatting to the agents. :mad:

I'm going to call tomorrow and find out what is going on.
 
Okay, so this morning I spoke to Lisa and asked her to sort this out, she said she would escalate it for me as well as it's not my fault that it is on 384.

Hope it happens... I can't sit all weekend on 384, I can't do squat with 384, I won't be able to play any games online! :(

Do you want me to check for you if you're indeed syncing at 384k?
 
i'm gonna go postal on those mother f uckers. spent an hour on hold for a freaking port reset, and soon as i hear the call center "good evening"...bam disconnected!
 
I f'cking hate Telkom. spent an hour on hold, and now i can't get through to them. "Please call back during working hours". Try to sms a fault and recieve "Fault Logging on this service number already in progress". what the f!ck. /rant stuck in on position
