Telkom bad pings on local game servers.

Hi Guys.

Long story short.. I have 2 accounts.. Mweb premium uncapped and Telkom Uncapped. I do a fair ammount of gaming and just last week got the telkom account to try it out... I have about 30 game servers i play on based in JHB and Cpt etc etc...

Heres the issue, my browsing and downloads on telkom is perfect.. gaming on any server, local or int is very very bad. 350 -790ms etc etc. When i do the online test i get a 56ms response to cpt from the web tool online.

Mweb gives me awesome pings... 40 - 80ms on max. I cannot understand why i would ping 56ms to a cpt based mweb server while connected to my telkom account... but in the game its 400+... then a minute later i get on with my mweb account and BAM! 45ms... this is on all gaming servers... Can anyone help or do i just can Telkom ISP ?

Yea there is an issue at the moment with Telkom gaming just give it some time: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/575897-Telkom-Throtteling-International-Gaming

It has been fine the rest of the year.

maybe just use the mweb account for a day or so till the issue is resolved.
