For some or other reason telkoms bandwidth tracker shows more bandwidth transferred than what i actually used. I know this because I use the windows connection icon at the bottom right of the screen(Dont know what it's called)

I'm using routesentry but according to the windows connection i only used a few kb's while if i go to telkoms tracker its like 20mb! Any Help advice, anyone also having problems with telkoms tracker?

Do you connect via a dial-up (PPPoE) connection? That is, do you have to make a connection every time you restart your computer or is it always connected to the Internet?

Both. The telkom router I have (Mega 100WR) is always connected, but its also in bridge mode(Dont know why its works, telkom did something right:D). so when i play on-line a just start route sentry. And Just to clarify when I start windows I'm connected to the internet with out dialling a connection and when I want to play games I "dial" the connections...

But I changed all my passwords on the router and adsl accounts and it seems to have done the trick. Hope fully it ends here

Ok, tell me this: do you measure the PPPoE (dial-up) connection bandwidth used or the Local Area Connection bandwidth used? Assuming you don't copy a bunch of files over the LAN try using this tiny installation-free freeware program: AdapterWatch to measure the bandwidth used. It will tell you how much information has passed over the LAN in bytes/kilobytes instead of packets. Alternatively you can install this free monitoring software which will be more accurate if you are using the LAN connection for stuff other than the Internet (i.e. network file-sharing): NetLimiter 2 Monitor. Tell me if this more accurately matches the info on TI Tracker. Although, since you mention changing your passwords... someone might have been "lending" your account.

Thanx eegee. Will see what happens in the next few days. But so far it seems someone has been "lending" my bandwith
