Hi,

Yesterday our lines were cut off in the morning. So I paid the due amount via EFT (used the provided EFT ref no instead of full Telkom account no.) plus a reconnection fees which I'm not sure exactly how much so I paid R200 anyway.

Today, our lines are still suspended. Is the reconnection fees not enough?I tried call centres. Nobody there knows how to assist me.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

Regards

They charge per service Reconnection.
Line Service - R210
Adsl Service - R210
If Mobile Service - R210

Register on telkom.co.za to see what they charged you under account balance.

Thanks for the reply. I have both ADSL and Voice services on my home line and only voice on my business line. So does that mean I have to pay further(R630 - 200 =) R430 as a reconnection fees? So far I've paid R3045 (Total due is R2845 plus R200 as a reconnection fees)

I've already registered ages ago. Now both accounts are no longer viewable on my online Telkom account.

I'm pissed that they cut off services without informing me exactly how much I have to pay to clear my Telkom account.

I'M PISSED THAT SUPPORT DEPARTMENT IS NOT TAKING ME SERIOUSLY. TWITTER TEAM IS USELESS. THEY NEVER ANSWERED MY QUERY DIRECTLY. SAID SUSPS WILL BE LIFTED ONCE THERE IS NO OUTSTANDING AMOUNT ON MY TELKOM ACCOUNT. I SIMPLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT I MUST PAY RIGHT NOW. I HAVE THIS MONTH'S INVOICE BUT THE AMOUNT DUE DOESN'T TAKE INTO ACCOUNT A RECONNECTION FEES

When did you pay, note it takes 24 to 48 hours as mention to reflect. Then you phone support and request a reconnection. It will take a day to activate.

I paid R2000 yesterday then another R1045 this morning (including a reconnection fees that I assume to be R200 like it was back then). I'm not really sure if R200 is enough. I want to find out what's the outstanding amount on my Telkom account first before making any more payments.

Another problem is Telkom support department. I would be lucky to somehow get their attention. Tried TELKOMZA ON Twitter. Used to receive fantastic ASSISTANCES from them in the past (2013-2015). Now they are trolling

That.

It should be back on tomorrow or the day afterwards some time...

Pay your accounts on time, then this wouldn't happen :)

Hey, yeah, I hope so. I'm gonna setup so future monthly invoices will be emailed straight to my main email address.

Hey, It's sorted out now. It definitely takes 48 hours (minimum) for an EFT payment to get cleared. Services have been restored at 9AM this morning. Thanks TelkomZA for the fantastic assistance

If you use the website and do a credit/debit card payment, it will clear in an hour max in my experience.
