Telkom cable damaged, service disrupted

A drilling accident has resulted in damage to Telkom cables at the Stormill exchange

But when one asks Telkom for a map of cables to do work you get the finger, then when something goes wrong it's not Telkom's fault.... Pathetic!

Telkom have reported the incident to the South African Police Service and intend to file legal action against the contractor.

Not just the contractor, some entity is paying that contractor to do who knows what and that entity should also be the target of Telkom's legal department which needs some real work to do for a change (instead of the delay tactics used against the Competition Commission for years).
