Telkom cannot deliver!

I cannot believe it. Yesterday we popped into the Telkom Direct shop in the George Garden Route Mall and was given a Hot Spot Sale brochure with specials on cellular phones running from 29 April to 31 May 2012.
They have a Nokia 2700 shown for Prepaid at R78 once off.

This morning 09h00 I popped in there and you can guess, "No stock", in actual fact no stock of any of the phones in their "Hot Spot Sale"
I made some noises and the manager explained to me that they do not have stock and I asked him them why did they then hand out the brochure to me the day before. The he offered to take my number and try and get one, but these were from stock clearances and he could not promise anything.

What is going on with Telkom?

Things do sell out, mate. Don't blame the seller for demand on their products when you lose out.

I agree, its nt acceptable for the majority of the branches not to have stock on the first day of a sale that runs for over a month!!!

And they do not expect to get stock either. Also most stores done even offer to find you one.

I went in on the first day for the Huawei S7 slim tablet and they didnt have stock. Have called numerous stores in Durban and Jhb and no stock... I mean wth...

This was the second day of the sale and the salesman confirmed that they had no stock of any of the phones and that he was not sure if he could even get one! They never had any in stock!
