Telkom CheckDSL service

Fingers crossed for me.

Tool and ISP used to say 4mbps when I first connected 6 months ago. Now Telkom says 40mbps, so I've started the process to move up to 10mbps... (I originally asked for 10mbps, but they only got me 4 :( -- maybe now we're good to go!?)

"The request did not specify a valid virtual host. "

Thats the result now, so I think they are removing it. Maybe we'll get a new, working tool soon?

I'm not smart enough to decipher this. (I currently sync at a max of 4Mbps)

My one line is syncing at 20meg but the checker says 1meg max in my area..... I do not know who manages this site or how is determines availability. But it is useless...

Site is working again, seems they updated the database.
Had max of 4mbps in my area, can now get 10mbps which my router has confirmed for more than a year (says attainable 12mbps).
Guess they are preparing for the 2->4mbps minimum line speed.

This is the message I get when trying to use the checkadsl service ...

"ADSL availability and maximum speed supported by your exchange cannot be determined at this stage."

Your request failed
No free ports available- Waiters registered on StationCode(s): WBVT:16.

Maybe this is due to pre-upgrade in speed activity, he says hopefully?

I got the same error at one stage, can only assume there are no more ports at the exhange :O

In which case I'm happy that I don't have to apply for adsl.
