Telkom contract a no show

Telkom my son has been waiting for his new Iphone13 for 3 weeks now.
He made a deal with me for his matric year, that he would rather have an iPhone 13 then go to his matric ball.

As the father I made an online order everything was approved, and I am in the 3rd week in terms of waiting.

When I placed the order, I was told by the agent, they have 2500 units received and that they will secure me a unit.

This was 3 weeks ago, I was expecting a delivery to my door, all that is or was received was Nothing.

Every time I phoned, promises I was given an explanation they latest one is their systems are offline.

Seeing the sight on my young sons' eyes is already teaching him about disappointments by companies who make promises and dont keep them.

What do you think his faith in Telkom will be when he grows up.

They give you no indication they send you No Updates just a big nothing....

Can you depend on a cellular network such as this you be the judge....

FYI I have tried the stores, and no one has stock of the phone..
 
Calm down, it really is not that deep. Go to the store and get your contract from there.

His faith should definitely not be in Telkom when he grows up, it should be in our Lord. *praying hands emoji*
 
Same issue here with my buddy, applied for a 16 pro max 4 weeks ago.
Still waiting....

He wants to cancel and try MTN.

MTN also charges R150 for store contracts. So istore is not far off. and you get icare with istore too. Talk about winning!
 
On Saturday, a friend went to a telkom store for the very same reason. The phone is inside the store, but he must wait for his name, somewhere on the system.

He gets both then. Lucky chap. Gets the iphone, then goes to the matric ball.
 
Telkom has been offline at the istore for weeks so I can't upgrade my contract. Been back and forth for weeks anyone have an idea how to sort this out ?
 
Dont know why people still take out contracts.
Just buy cash and go prepaid

Much better options than an iphone
