Telkom Contract Question

I would just like know if anyone has been through the expiry of their Telkom Do bundle contract. Mine is expiring next month.

I would like to know whether I need to phone Telkom to ensure they don't re-instate a contract or if this contract is automatically cancelled?

I do not want to find myself with a bill in 2 months time stating I am in month 1 of 12 of a new contract.

As far as I know the only purpose of those contracts are to get you a free router. You are not locked in by any means, if you 'cancel' before the lets say 12 months is over, you have to pay a prorata amount of the cash value of the router to Telkom.

It should continue and your bill should start saying something to the effect of month 13 of 12 month contract.

This is my experience with their contracts in the past. Maybe wrong.
 
Just got off phone. I was utterly surprised to say the least. I waited 30 secs and someone picked up. I expected to wait 45mins+ for their billing department, thus I asked on this forum rather.

The guy said, the contract expires and the regular amount without the contract discount will display on the following months bill.

Hope this helps anyone else that has the same question :)
