I've been wondering for a while now but haven't posted anything about this so far.

If one was retarded enough to sign a contract with telkom is there any way of getting out  Besides paying the penaty fees or moving to a new area (a bit extreme) ??

I really sick of this ***, I have to fork out a fortune & get squat back really :(

dumb ass, shouldn't have taken out the contract then. only if you were sure you'd do it for the whole two years!

burnt yourself :(

Ya thanks 4 the help there PotManPost but I have only a few months left like 3 & wanna get out sooner so I guess I did use it 4 2 years

Yeah well you can always count on great advice from the postman...

If u only have so few months left then my advice is to stick it out. As long as this relaxed capping bullsh1t is in place, rape the telkom account at the beginning of the month until you are hardcapped then sign up with openweb or IS or something like that and use that account normally for the rest of the month without fear of being capped...

no, just trying to explain to you that it wasn't meant to be advice like you said.

If you only have 3 mths left then just pay the cancellation penalty. AFAIK it would only be R65 pm (R195) which is not to bad considering you keep the free modem.

hehe. What makes me think that your tongue was placed firmly in your cheek when making that statement??

Its just that from my experience of this site, most users, myself included, are trying to steer people away from telkom at all costs in order for there to be some sort of future for telecommunications in this country. Whenever telkom are mentioned you seem to be in full support of them, which is why i suspect you, in fact , work for them...
