Telkom data centre power outage

Understandable when they explain to their customers. That's very important

Think large rooms full of massive batteries, huge solid copper busbars (a copper thiefs wet dream), dual feeds, several room sized backup gennies etc etc.

This is not your average apc ups you order off the shelf...

Telkom needs to makes some technical info/education videos that will promote company and also provide insight to what happends behind the scenes. I dunno why they are so secrative while overseas companies jump at the opportunity to give guided tours for media that want to film infrastructure & operations as it's a means of promoting the company & it's capabilities.

You're right. Telkom obviously has some impressive technology and infrastructure. And many impressively capable people. They need to lift the kimono a little and let their customers know.
