Telkom Direct shop hit in armed robbery

The Telkom Direct shop in Centurion Mall was hit by a group of 7 armed robbers this week

This is not the first time this has happened and leads me to believe there is something more to these robberies (or same gang).

Few months ago the Telkom direct shop at Kolonnade retail park was also robbed. The thieves quickly stole all the cellphones etc before the security could respond.

These stores only have one entrance/exit, so a spotter could sit in the coffee shop across the passage and note all movements. Easy targets, especially when they may not have their own security due to complex rules.

Not necessarily. It costs like R300 bucks to change the IMEI at corner shops nowadays.
