omg this is so frustrating, i hear there are 10 xbox units in centurion... theres no way for me to phone the centurion telkom direct. this sucks!
 
Well im getting this of a parent's account, since i dont have a telkom one, do you think if I go to a different telkom direct store with a letter of consent i should be able to get one?

ok cool, going to try the centurion one tomorrow then, just wish there was an UPDATED place where i could see stock lists, not even Telksommel helpline has stock lists, that means you can steal a 360 from them and they would probably realize it 4 years later. The comedy.

I'd suggest you wait it out, international trends seem to indicate the Xbox is due for another price drop. Saying that though, its worth putting the extra money in for a model with a hard-drive.

That's why I said. Wait it out, thus save up the cash. :)

I'm sure it would even work out cheaper if he got himself an Edgars card and paid it off over 6 months from CNA.

COOL i got the 360, its a core with 5 games and a extra controller, heres the kicker though, no memory card or hdd, just a 1 gig telkom usb stick lol, this sucks balls due to the fact that i wont be able to go on xbox live or save my games, big eish!
 
An Arcade not a Core ....... you can get a HDD for about 1k new or about R500 second hand. Besides, even a memory card will suffice for most things on Live. Just get a Memory card for now - R288 (64mb) and R568 (512mb). Also, as far as I know, you should be able to save your games on the mem stick? Not sure though.
 
Cant save the bloody games on mem stick *would have been awsome though!* Heard they discontinued the 64mb's I went to Menlyn to check out prices no way in hell im paying R500 for a memory card when i can get the hdd for R1k :)
 
the funny little one below the component port .... should have HDMI stenciled tiny above it :D
