Telkom email suffers major issues

Telkom sent an email to all subscribers 7th June advising them that they may experience problems due to updating of the service this weekend.

Yeah me too... oh wait... I have a telkomsa email. Only because the useless rubbish Hellkom scum refuse to cancel my mailbox account and continue to bill me R15 every month which I refuse to pay.

It sucks because you don't necessarily want to lose access to it if you have a bunch of online accounts tied to it. If you want a spam address, just create a second Google account. Gmail handles spam very well, is cloud-based, independent of any local ISPs and doesn't require a cent from you.
 
Have been dealing with this issue affecting a few Intekom accounts for a while now.

LOL!!! My dad! Literally had this since dial-up.

Unfortunately, a lot of our customers have these addresses too. And the flack the poor "IT Guy" gets when invoices and statements do not get delivered. :rolleyes:
 
Telkom email does not even support authenticated smtp.... the 90s called....
