Telkom Fiber installation timeframe

Hi Gents,

Just some info from you informed fiber users.

I have an order from webafrica for fiber installation at my place (Telkom fiber), how long can i expect before i get a installation date. This is without festive season coming etc. just how long did you guys have to wait for telkom to come install?

The last time we got telscum to do a fibre installation it took over a year from the initiation of the project to the point of the client actually having fibre.

Granted, this was FTTB, not FTTH, and they had to trench a crapload under a highway and and. Don't think the same time frames would apply for FTTH and in Fibre areas.

LOL..I hope thats not the case. I do have fiber running right in front of my house. Already have order in at webafrica, awaiting telkom order number for installation etc.. was just wondering what type of timeframe i'm looking at?
 
Placed order on a Tuesday evening (after 5PM) and they installed the following Monday.
So 5 days. From Telkom.

His scenario is totally different to yours. As in chalk and cheese...

Ask WA to follow up and provide you with a time frame.

DUDE!! I hope thats the case. Who did you order from, straight telkom? Webafrica told me it would be about 2 weeks before telkom phone me to schedule........

Telkom reps were going door to door in our estate just they completed their FTTH roll-out.
